                                                  THE REPTILE GUY WAS AMAZING!

    Thursday afternoon was exciting, all the students were very interested to see all of the different animals from snakes to chichillas!

***Please have your child return their April Home Reading sheet on Monday.  Also please practise Reader's Workshop books (they should have a post-it on them) they will be presenting these to the class this week.  

***Class Photos are on Monday, May 5th

***Starbooks is May 5-May 9th.  This does not have to be a big project just a chance to share a favourite book and another opportunity for your child to practise speaking in front of the class. Students need to include the name of their book and the author.

***Field trip to Save On Foods on Tuesday, May 6th - please sign up on the portal, and any parents avaialable are welcome.

***May 8- Assembly @ 1:00 - Div. 12 & 13 presenting

***Please also sign up for the field trip on May 23 to Maple Ridge Spray Park - parent volunteers and drivers are needed and currently we only have enough spots for 8 students.

***Memory Book fee is also up on the portal please either pay online or send $15 cash in a labelled ziplock.

Scientist of the Week came home Friday, please read over carefully and let me know if you have any questions. 

Fairview is once again focusing on Literacy during the month of May!  So please mark your calendars with these other dates.  All information and tickets is or will be available on the Parent Portal,  

***May 20-23 - Book swap collection - students can bring in slightly used books

***Thursday, May 29th @ 2:45 - 4:15  Family Literacy Event - Fairview's first ever! 

We also have Rev's Bowling planned for Wednesday, June 4th in the morning and will also need parent drivers.  This portal announcement will be posted later.
